2.现在分词作表语
（1）现在分词做表语是一些表示情绪、心理的词，如excite, interest等，他们的现在分词形式可以表示“令人激动的”，“令人感兴趣的”等。若表示人对……感兴趣，就是somebody is interested in…,若人或物本身有趣时，就是说sb./sth. is interesting

delighting 令人高兴的
disappointing 令人失望的
encouraging 令人鼓舞的

（3）现在分词作表语表示主语的性质、特征。
这时通常可以看作形容词，可以用very, so或much等修饰
The news that your team had been beaten in the match was very surprising.

The sound I heard last night was so frightening.
我昨晚听到的声音令人恐怖。
If the book is very interesting, I will buy it.
