美国佛罗里达大学泌尿学系招聘博士后 A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Urology to investigate mechanisms of RNA based cancer vaccines. The immunologic properties of tumor-antigen encoding mRNA in vivo (mouse) will be determined. Dendritic cell maturation, migration and antigen presentation will be analyzed after RNA injection. Uptake of mRNA in vivo (mouse and pig) will be investigated on cellular level. Following direct intradermal application, tissue distribution, cellular specificity and kinetics of reporter protein expression are determined by histology and tissue lysate analysis. Development of immunity against chosen antigens will be evaluated using various immunologic assays. We offer excellent training opportunities in a collaborative research environment with a strong focus on immunology. The successful candidate should have a PhD degree in immunology or a related field. Expertise in small animal handling and surgery are essential. Technical proficiency in the generation of dendritic cells from mice is desired. Candidates with expertise skills in multicolor flow cytometric analysis, cell culture and immunological knowledge and techniques (particularly CTL generation) will be preferred. Please send an application letter, CV, statement of research accomplishments and three names of references to: Axel Heiser, Ph.D. Assistant Professor and Director of Research Department of Urology, College of Medicine 1376 Mowry Road, Room 462 PO Box 103633, Gainesville, FL 32610-3633 axel.heiser@urology.ufl.edu http://www.urology.ufl.edu
